App difficulties

The Garuda app would not take my international credit card, so I was forced to use another cash account. This problem has occurred on two occasions and with multiple credit cards. The app does not display well on my iPhone. It was difficult to see the fillable fields with the top portion being fixed and the bottom portion covered with the keyboard. I could only see a portion of one line as I filled in passenger and payment information. Lastly, make the Garuda website useable for searching flights and purchasing tickets.

The worst app in terms of UI/UX for an international airline

Laggy, not very easy to navigate, no linking to Google or Apple Pay and Wallet features. The GarudaMiles tab especially leaves much to be desired. It was not straightforward to find my activity history (hidden in Profile tab). Pales in comparison to the apps of its regional rivals (SQ, MH) or the big Mideast carriers (EK, QR, EY)

Difficult to navigate site/ App

I had so many problems trying to book my ticket using the website then the app… information would revert back without saving..l then you need to start over… so frustrating…

Can’t do anything with it

I can’t even register simple flight info on this app because it has so many bugs. Won’t allow you to enter a country code for phone number but says it’s required. Won’t allow you to enter a salutation but says it’s required. Won’t allow you to enter a nationality but says it’s required. It’s impossible to do anything on this app.

App is not working well

I tried to retrieve my booking to do online check in and doesnt work. It kept me on the loading screen and nothing showed up. At least get your web check in working. Like seriously invest on these servers and better software. I’m super dissapointed by all these small trouble I’m experiencing as a passenger. You can’t even put up a decent app for people to use nicely! Please invest on better software quality to be part of a world class commercial airline!

Can add trip list

This App is very poor. I can’t select my seat often and many times it won’t credit your frequent flyer miles to your reservation. Now I can’t even add my reservations to my account through this App. It is very tiresome. This is certainly not the service of a “Five Star” airline and more like “Three Star”. I often have to waste my time sending additional requests to credit my account for trips taken this is especially true if I use the Bid upgrade feature. Finally, they should allow you to use miles to upgrade instead to have to call the service center. Garuda has some good features but this App and the frequent flyer program is not one of them

Worst airline app

The most horrible airline app. Very bad interface. Nothing works. It reflects the airline which is also crap

Crashed All the time

This app crashed all the time. When I was about to make my payment, it crashed. It also taken away the mileage that I use to add to the purchase of the ticket. Poor app, poor service. Garuda has to give my mileage back for unsuccessful reservation process.

The worst app for Airline

It’s so embarrassing that Garuda as a state owned company could not even afford to develop proper apps. Crashes all the time, does not work most of the time. Very useless!!

Without a doubt, the worst airline app I’ve ever used

Garuda Airlines is one of my favorite airlines to fly with, I will choose it over any other airline in Indonesia. It’s sucha shame that the app is the complete opposite. It’s frustrating to navigate through, pressing back takes you all the way to the homepage where you have to input every single detail all over again. I will fly Garuda Airlines as much as I can, but I will never use and recommend this app ever!

Need to update this ASAP. When you put in your ticket details in trip page, you get wrong information. But it works fine in android apps. sad..

I’ll upgrade it to terrible

The most recent update finally lets me logon and see my trips, but they have the flights BACKWARDS! What should be a trip from Singapore to Manado is listed as Manado to Singapore then a few days later the return trip is similarly reversed. ( It still shows up correctly on my web browser and on my android, thank goodness)

I use this app since the beginning (old app) and i dont know why until now they can’t make it right. So buggy. Even adding my trip is very hard thing to do. 🙁

Garuda Miles login crashes the App

App keeps crashing when I try to log in to Garuda Miles. It’s not been fixed for the last 2 months!

Unusable Garbage

I can’t add a flight to my trips after trying for two days. No error message. It just doesn’t work. Garuda should be ashamed of this app. It is useless.

If I could give zero stars I would

One word can describe my experience with both Garuda’s app and their website: horrible. The app constantly crashes. I try to reset my password with the “forgot password” on the app and it tries to direct me to the website but I can never get there. The app is in an endless loop. This airline really needs to start over with its website and app. I have a flight coming up with them in October and I hope this isn’t indicative of how they fly their planes and maintain them.

Completely useless. The only reason I downloaded this app was because their online website is also dysfunctional, stuck in a perpetual buffering. I was told to try to make my bookings through this app instead, and every time I submit my log in information the app crashes. Way to be a “world class” carrier, Garuda. How can you even compete with international carriers with this nightmare of an IT.

All new version is no longer buggy

This all new version is alot faster and less buggy, thanks for the update capt!

Poorly designed

This app has many failings and bugs. It often cannot find my confirmed reservation. You cannot manage your booking as you can with most other airline apps. It also is poorly designed. I fly more than 50 Garuda trips a year and while the airline is decent with good cabin attendants, their app is just not very good. Got the new app. Now cannot login at all.

Looks decent although not consistent with their branding. Cannot add booking to app. My GarudaMiles tier is gold but the virtual card showed up as blue in the app. Could cause headache to user since GA does not really update [some of] their skyteam partners about the status of their FF, so good luck getting free baggage on delta even though you’re entitled to it. Still directs flight booking to html browser. Kinda annoying. Idk what they’re really updating here other than the looks, functionality is still as bad. Go back to drawing board.

Fix this app. Too many delayed responses. Often things are just clunky. Don’t look like they’re native on iOS rather a website displayed via the app. Not intuitive interface. Bad English (truly appalling)

A Negative-5 Star Rated App

Not only is GIA/GA’s website horrible, but also the App is equally bad. Always crashing, and needing reinstalling very often. A simple task of finding a flight becomes a teeth grinding process as one never get any result! Placing an existing reservation under MyTrips is useless, because it is not a guarantee that one will see it again the next time one opens the App. Garuda Indonesia should fire the person in charge of the App tech and design.

Can’t even register

Gave up on this app because couldn’t enter the country code on my phone number. Gave me an error code and couldn’t move forward. Apparently I’m not the only one that can’t make it work. Never A good sign.

Doesn’t work

This app is terrible. Doesn’t load. Constantly says bad connection. Crashes. Drop downs to select your country, state, etc. don’t work.

Kicked out from account, no choice of remember me. Can’t check in from apps, even I checked in from web, no link to the apps. Bad mileage management. No info when expires

Don’t use this app to book your flight

I booked Garuda flights for 4 persons using this app only to know how poorly designed it is. First, it doesn’t save your previously typed information. I made a mistake at the end of the form, and try to go back to the previous page. Instead, it took me to the home page and I have to refilled all of the information again. Second, error in payment processing. I made it to the payment page and filled in my one time password for my credit card. It took a while for the app to process. My bank notification even came faster telling that a payment had been made to Garuda. However, the app said otherwise. So I called Garuda and told what happened, then they asked me to send proof of transaction by email. I sent them email with proof, but then they asked for a billing statement, which will take 7 days to process it with the bank. They could just apologize for their app mistakes and provide an alternative booking solution. Third, it seems like Garuda doesn’t read the reviews of their app. Only 1 star rating for the 5 star airline? So, don’t waste your time using this app or you’re gonna end up wasting your time writing a long review like me.

Frustrating app

Please prepare yourself, lower your expectations. Disappointment is common with this app. Login failures and slow responses are among the usual issues. Even if you are already in, you have to sign out and sign in again to have your status updated. There is no automatic update for your milleage, very strangely!! As a frequent traveller, this is one of the worst apps ever. I can’t believe this is Garuda’s app

Hanya bisa untuk online checkin itupun harus copypaste booking code. Tidak bisa manage garuda miles. Seharusnya bisa minimal jd e-boarding pass jadi bisa go paperless.

Simply does work

I have had the app partially working in the past but now it’s completely unusable. The Garuda website is also getting worse and worse. Disappointing as the airline itself is good, just seems to have a badly run IT department.

No iPhone X support

Apps nowadays are required to have iPhone X support but this app has not done it yet.

The app crashes a lot

And I can’t register with this app and on the computer either. I have doubt how i can book a flight through this app. And Korean Agent is the worst place to reach. They never answer the phone while i have concerns what to do with change or cancellation before I purchase the ticket.

Can’t even get myself to log in. Can’t believe this is from so called the best airline in Indonesia. Even low carrier flights apps do a better job.
